A digital order exchange for a dental prosthetics laboratory.

UniqueLab is a milling and prosthetics centre. Dental offices used to send them work the old way: paper forms, phone calls, files attached to emails that got lost in inboxes. This project replaced that flow with a single B2B platform where a doctor submits an order, attaches scans, and the laboratory receives, tracks and delivers it in the same place.

01The problem

The problem

A laboratory and the offices it serves were running on paper and email. Every order meant a form, a follow-up call, and a file attachment that might or might not arrive. Tracking whether a job was accepted, in production or ready meant picking up the phone. The laboratory wanted one place where orders, files and status lived together, without turning the doctors’ side into a training course.

02The approach

The approach

01

Two views, one platform. Doctors see their offices and orders; the laboratory sees every incoming job and manages the work-type catalogue. The same product, shaped around each side’s actual job.

02

An order form that adapts. When a doctor picks a work type such as a ceramic crown, a bridge or a full prosthesis, the form shows only the fields that type actually needs. The laboratory defines those fields itself.

03

Files without the friction. Scans and photos drop into the order through drag-and-drop, and patient-identifying filenames are anonymised on upload before they ever reach storage.

04

A real status timeline, not a guess. Every order carries its current state, so the doctor knows where the work is without a single call.

03What shipped in the MVP

What shipped in the MVP

The first release focused on the core loop: a doctor submits work and the laboratory realises it. Nothing extra.

01

Doctor account flow

Self-service registration with recorded acceptance of the terms and privacy policy, login with rate limiting, and a clean authenticated shell.

02

Office switching

A doctor with several offices sees each one as a switchable tab. Orders are filtered to the active office, so work never mixes across locations.

03

Order table

Patient identifier, work number, type, note, admission date, realisation deadline, status and attachment count. One row per job, nothing hidden.

04

Adaptive order form

Patient data, work type, deadline hint pulled from the price list, and a drag-and-drop attachment zone. Filenames are anonymised on upload.

05

Laboratory admin

The laboratory adds, edits and deactivates work types and defines the extra fields each one needs. The doctor’s form follows automatically.

06

Price-list engine

A catalogue of work types drives both the deadline estimate and the price, so the form and the offer never drift apart.

04The result

The result

UniqueLab now runs its incoming work through the platform instead of a paper inbox. The doctors’ side and the laboratory’s side share one source of truth, and the order form grows with the laboratory’s catalogue rather than waiting for a developer. The product is live and in day-to-day use.
